What inspires your craft?
We are moms. We are daughters. We are friends. We love and are loved. This is what inspires our craft.
We know how it feels to want to remember. We all want to remember love, laughter, kindness, and all the other emotions this life gives us. Although what we make can’t bring back those times, it helps us remember, and remembering is powerful.
We are inspired by our own families and those we observe around us. But what is most interesting and very special about our craft, it that we in turn are astoundingly inspired. We made jewelry and decor that has meaning.
Everything we sell has a purpose, to remember.
What are a few benefits and challenges to being a handmade artisan?
The benefits to our craft completely outweigh the challenges, and believe us, we definitely have our fair share of challenges! One of the benefits that we enjoy the most is the satisfaction of our customers, especially those that have ordered a handwriting product, such as our handwriting necklace, bracelet, or cutting board.
We receive handwriting from when a child has written their name for the first time or even a signature from someone that has been missed for many years. We absolutely love when we hear back from them how much it meant to receive something so special. It is THE best!!
We also have the benefit of receiving stories from them and we get to understand a little more about where the handwriting came from and what it means to them. It’s an extra gem that we love and makes it all worth it.
As far as challenges go, we receive some really old or really light handwriting, it can take a very long time to get engraved right! We want our customers to receive a product that meets their expectations, and the expectations for our craft can be very, very high!
So we strive to make it all as close to perfection as we can get! Even when times get tough here, we love it!!
