Emily Strom, Founder
Emily Strom, lives in Boulder, CO., by way of Chicago. She has a degree in elementary eduction and a Master’s degree in special eduction. Throughout college and her teaching career, she curated her passion for marketing by running a side freelance marketing business for small, local and e-commerce businesses.
After moving to Boulder with her husband and having a baby, she decided to leave her teaching career behind to pursue other opportunities. Shortly after her daughter turned 1, she started Handmade Loves.
When asked what she loves most about Handmade moves she said she, “loves connecting artisans and bringing the handmade community together. Each artisan has a unique and inspiring story to tell. I love helping artisans get their work out in the world. I’m so lucky to be able to meld my passions for marketing and shopping small into one business.”
Eve Godat, Director of Marketing
Eve Godat, born in Washington, D.C., graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in May 2014 with a degree in Sociology and French. Throughout college, she worked for Boulder Freeride, the collegiate ski and snowboard club at CU, graduating as president her final year.
With a french father and an english mother, Eve has a unique multi-cultural background which has allowed her to be bilingual and fascinated by all cultures and lifestyles around the world. She loves spending her time away from Handmade Loves outdoors. Whether she is hiking, camping, or biking, she thinks any time spent outside is time well spent!
When asked what she loves most about Handmade Loves she said she “loves exploring the different handmade craftsmanship and creativity that exists around the world. Knowing that I can promote handmade goods across the globe and help artisans make a name for themselves and their crafts is the more rewarding than one can imagine.”
